Navbar colour change without losing hover effect

Hi there,

I’m trying to change the navbar colour to black with this code:

.navbar .navbar-nav > li > a {
color: black !important;
}

It works but the hover effect disappears and it doesn’t show the page where I’m at with diffrerent colour in navbar.

Is there a way to keep the hover effect and change the colour?

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out 🙂
