WP generated emails not sending after user creates account

Hello,

I’m in a little bit of an emergency situation after trying multiple plugins for SMTP instead of PHP to avoid emails going into spam folders of users creating accounts, and after a few tries with some plugins that didn’t work, I used WP Mail SMTP (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/) since it seemed most compatible with Gmail. I had to enable Gmail API for the gmail account that I was using, so it took a little longer, but I was finally able to set it up.

Unfortunately, this resulted in both WP emails being generated at once, the ‘Activate Account’ email and the ‘Account Info’ email (which should only be sent out after the link from the Activate Account’ email is clicked on). The Gravity Form notification email did not send out either. With this being an issue, I deactivated and deleted the plugin. I went to submit another test application, and now zero emails are being sent when a user applies. I can’t even manually push through a Gravity Form notification.

This is a pretty big issue I’m experiencing as users are not receiving any confirmation once they submit an application. Assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
