When it comes to free directory plugins, I can honestly say this is the best one I have found, but that only applies if you plan on making a directory that is free and fairly simple.
If, on the other hand, you have a list of must-haves for your directory site then I would say stay far away from this plugin. You end up having to pay $70 for simple features like PayPal integration. Like seriously who pays for PayPal integration nowadays? And that is just for that one plugin so if you need more than that it is yet more money you have to pay. There are directory themes that come out the box with all of these basic features their add-ons offer included for the same price as one of their add-ons and most of them are rated 4.75 and up.
Needless to say, since I do have needs for my website outside of just free listings I will be purchasing one of those themes instead.
