activation email for users when manually approved

Is there a way when using buddypress to have an activation/approval email go to the user after admin has manually approved their profile in the backend? As of now I can only see a way to have the user get an email if the account is automatically approved, but I want it to be pending and then when admin approves it the user gets the email confirming that.
