On my localhost, it does not compress any of the images, could it be that the operating system is Windows, or I need a server component that I’m missing? On a shared Godaddy hosting, it is compressing the images beautifully, although I’m getting some weird results:
Testing with a relatively large image of 395kb –
– When the compression setting is set at the recommended 50%: – 60% smaller image size
– When the compression setting is at 100% – 2.5 Times LARGER image, just over 1MB, whic is baffling to me.
– At 90% compression level – little bit larger image maybe 5% bigger.
– At 80% compression level – no change in image size.
So, the recommended 50% works the best, again it reduced my image size by 60.7%, with NO quality reduction which is also excellent.
Is anyone else experiencing the same results? Nevertheless, thanks for the plugin, it is really, REALLY good, it is definitely a 5 star plugin even with the noted weirdness!
