first time user faced with FULL screen privacy

First of all, I appreciate you make this happens! It saves lot of time for average webmaster!

Now back to the issue I’d like to clarify. So I have installed and activate the GDPR’s plugin. Once turn on, when I reload my site, i was welcomed with a FULL SCREEN privacy policy statement asking visitors to accept. So my question is:

1- is it normal behavior that EVERYtIME a visitor go to my site, they have to see this ONE FULL Screen of page? Or is it only when I change the privacy statement page?
2- How can I turn it off? In other words, I want simply to have that alert on the bar below, so it is not obstructing.
