A while back I made changes to the mctagmap_functions.php file. Recently, there has been a lot of updates to this plugin and every time I update I have to go back and update my change that was overwritten. I decided to just do what the Instructions FAQ said to avoid this issue going forward.
I created a folder: multi-column-tag-map in my theme’s directory. I moved over a copy of the mctagmap_functions.php file and made my edits there. Unfortunately, they don’t appear to be seen, the original file, not my newly created one is being read. So, in the end, I still have to make my edits to the overwritable file in order for them to actually take effect.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
