It would be nice if we could have a little more control over the display of the hours table via shortcode attributes. There are three things in particular I was looking for in my project:
Toggle the “condensed” view with a shortcode attribute. I was looking to display a small hours table in a sidebar and then a full hours table on the contact page.
Inline display mode that shows the hours in a single span like “Monday 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Tuesday 8:00AM – 5:00PM, etc.”. I was looking to show the hours in a ribbon underneath our locations map.
Toggle bolding of the current days / hours. If it is Monday, it would be nice if the Monday row of the table was bolded. If it is Tuesday and the condensed view is on, it’d be nice if the Monday-Friday row was enabled.
So ideally I’d like to be able to write a shortcode like [mbhi_hours display=”inline” condensed=”true” highlightcurrent=”true”] and get the output:
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Saturday Closed, Sunday Closed
That would take this plugin from nice to a staple on any site I build.
I’d be willing to help in the coding of this, since I am excited to see a good plugin for sane business hour display.
