Hello!
A couple of months ago I updated my website using a theme that has a footer newsletter sign-up form using Genesis E-news extended.
I followed the instructions I found here and everything was working perfectly at first: people would put their emails, hit the “subscribe” button and they would be directed to a custom thank you page, that I host directly on my website.
But at some point, something happened. I don’t remember moving or changing anything, and now when someone puts their email and hits the Subscribe button, they are sent to a MailChimp page where they have to put their information AGAIN, and even asks for name and last name (which I don’t need).
I’ve tried uninstalling and starting all over again, but I keep getting the same result, and I’ve also explored options in MailChimp but I haven’t found anything useful.
So, my question is:
– How can I make the form work as it did before? I just want people to enter their emails and be sent to the thank you page, without that ugly MailChimp form in the middle.
Ah my other question is:
I actually have my newsletter list in MailerLitem so I’m only using Mailchimp to get subscribes via the Genesis e-news extended form, because I didn’t see any integrations with MailerLite (so every now and then I have to export from MailChimp to import to MailerLite). But when looking for info in this forum I found this, and I’d like to know if there is a way to make the plugin work with MailerLite, because I haven’t found that information in the install instructions.
