Change Blog Permalink Settings, from Root to …/blog/… sub-folder

I have a website with an integrated blog. All the pages and blog posts run directly from the root folder/url, ie:

http://www.website.co.uk/IMPORTANT-WEB-PAGE
http://www.website.co.uk/LESS-IMPORTANT-BLOG-POST

The problem is, I think that the 60+ blog posts have watered down the website (10 pages) and the site is suffering from an SEO perspective as a result. So I wanted some advice on how best to proceed.

Ultimately, would it be better for the blog posts to be moved to http://www.website.co.uk/blog/...

And if so, precisely how would I accomplish this? (assuming via permalinks but Im unclear what and how to do it)
