Version 2.3.4 causing 404 error and Too many redirects

Hi everybody,

I installed Polylang version 2.3.4 and since then, I get a pop-up that says “From and embedded page at widgets.wp.com Request failed. Returned status of 404” whenever I browse my website. All my posts are still there. If I look around too much or if I press refresh a few times, I get an “Error too many redirects” message. How can I fix this? If it can’t be helped, can I revert to a previous version of Polylang?

Steps to reproduce:

1) Log-in to website as admin and update Polylang to version 2.3.4
2) Browse website until the pop-up “From and embedded page at widgets.wp.com Request failed. Returned status of 404” appears. Ignore pop-up
3) Browse website until the “Error too many redirects” message appears.
