Wp-admin redirects to site home page

Hi folks,

I have a site which I can’t login to wp-admin because when I try to load the page, it just redirects me to the site homepage.

I connected to the server via FTP and renamed the plugin directory (to disable it) and I can now get to wp-admin and login.

If I rename the plugin folder back again, I can’t login again.

Any ideas what causes this? Thanks.
