hey Cory or any other friends,
i am trying to move my wordpress site out from Pressable.
i initially tried duplicator free version and could not even pass the requirement check due fail at Required Path. then i purchased Professional version. it seems directly ignored the pre-check and allow me to go to next, so at the end i got the package. everything seems good.
however, when i try to use the installer to install. at the step of Step 3 of 4: Update Data , i got install error:
“INSTALL ERROR!
WARNING: Unable to update file permissions and write to /home/***/public_html/wp-config-arc.txt. Check that the wp-config.php is in the archive.zip and check with your host or administrator to enable PHP to write to the wp-config.php file. If performing a ‘Manual Extraction’ please be sure to select the ‘Manual Archive Extraction’ option on step 1 under options.”
Here, i can see that the wp-config.php did not exist in my archive.zip file. so what i did was, to sftp into pressable server and get the wp-config.php and and rezip it. however, at the 3rd step, i again get the same error.
then i manually extract the content and try to performing a ‘Manual Extraction’. BUT, i found the installer does not allow me to use this option!! i did extract the content on the same directly which is directly under public_html, it just seems could not recognise them!
i have tried all different way but still could not pass this! i am get really frustrated. why it even not allow me to install with Mannual Extraction ? when i deleted the zip file after extraction, i could not even go to next step.
please help….
