I am in the process of migrating (well, planning to migrate) a site from bluehost to a Linode VPS. I am going to keep my Bluehost shared account (for developing and experimenting) and I want to continue to use it for my email.
I am ignorant as to how wordpress sites manage email. I know that they use a php function rather than SMTP, but that is about all I know.
What are the ramifications of migrating from one provider to the other, without an email server on the new server?
