WooCommerce Payments Currency Conversion

Hey guys,

I am building a WooCommerce site. It’s more or less done, but it does have a couple of errors to look at before going live.

The site’s store is aimed worldwide and a few people were able to make some test purchases from other countries. When they were making said test transactions an error popped up for them (which I’m currently working on). They sent over a screenshot of this error and I noticed something else that I hadn’t even thought of.

The store is based in the UK. When this person went to buy something that costs £7, it simply showed as $7. The same amount but in the wrong currency. I can only assume that this would be the case store wide, regardless of the customer’s local currency. This is the first time I’m building a WooCommerce site, so I am learning as I go.

I wanted to ask if anyone maybe knows if there is an option somewhere in WooCommerce to change this so that the currency will automatically be applied and the amount adjusted in the correct currency for where the customer is based? Or is it a case to simply add a plugin for this fix?

Any guidance or help with this would be massively appreciated!

Thank you,

Kate
