I am trying to upload an animated gif into the header image of twenty sixteen theme. I am using a child theme. I have uploaded the gif to the media library and it is animated fine, however when I try to upload it as the header image I am losing the animation. I am skipping the cropping as I know I would lose animation if I did.
For a few moments earlier I had it working but when I updated my stylesheet for something completely different I lost all animation. I have tried redoing the header but to no avail.
Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Many thanks
