1. Heartbeat Control is an excellent plugin and important for many people
2. Helpful documentation is not one of its strong points
3. It is not clear what settings are appropriate, or even what the options mean

I hope that this thread can serve to help many users determine the best setting options to use. I hope that users of the plugin can comment on what settings they use – and why. If enough users post their settings and tell why they chose them, others will have a better idea of what setting options to choose for themselves. If this thread ends up being helpful, the plugin author can make it a sticky thread.

There are some blog posts available online about the plugin, but most pre-date the latest version, in which the options have changed.

In your replies to this thread, you can do two things: (1) Explain what each settings option means; (2) Post your settings, and tell why they are appropriate for your situation.

Please offer explanations for each of the three current settings: Heartbeat Behavior; Locations; Frequency.
