I am getting emails from WordPress Team forwarded from an email that is posted as an users’s email from a 2014 comment. The “user” posted all other comments with @gmail, but for some reason, this one email is @verizon.net. The first part the email is the same.. just a different @ address. I checked the @verizon email and it bounced back as Not Found.
So, the problem is… I am getting emails regarding Wordpess and Jetpack updates forwarded to me from the @verizon email. That email does not exist, that email is not an admin, and that email is just a comment from 2014 and this just started happening a few months ago. So, why is it attached to my WordPress account and update notices via forwarding me updates?
