Hi There,
Before posting here, I checked the Theme Section to see if my theme (Gamba Restaurant) was in there, but it’s not. I purchased the theme from Envato about a year ago, and the developer decided to halt support for it- and I assume there will be no updates to the theme. I’m running 4.7.6 and am being prompted to update to 4.8.2.
Given the fact it’s unlikely there will be an update to the theme, I’m hesitant to upgrade to the new WP version for fear it won’t get along with the theme. My clients love the website I customized for them, and it’s become a part of their branding.
What’s my next move? Am I taking a big risk any time I purchase a commercial theme? It looks like I’m going to have to recreate a new site for my client on my own dime.
I understand this is a general question and I wasn’t sure where to post it, but I could really use some guidance.
