Hello,
When I publish a post, the “time ago” function is throwing back that the brand new post was written 4 hours ago.
I live in New York State (USA), which is GMT -04:00. I suspect this has something to do with it. If I go into my WP settings and change my time zone to GMT-0, then it works correctly. If I keep it that way, then my post times are wrong.
I contacted my theme author (in Europe) a few weeks ago and they said they’re unable to reproduce the problem. I tried writing back again… but it appears I may end up needing to fix it myself.
Has anybody had this problem before where the time_ago function uses the GMT clock despite being in a preset time zone? Is there an easy way to fix this?
