Success message first red, then green

Hello,

I am using Contact Form 7 to send an email with attachment after submitting the form (with WP Mail SMTP).

The email does get sent successfully with attachment, no problems there.

But the success message (using shortcode [response]) first comes in red with no text, just warning triangle with exclamation point, then when I click the “x” to dismiss the message I see the green one with proper success message text.

Any ideas about what is going on and how to fix it?
