so I am very new to this and I have been trying to solve the problem for nearly 24 hours. I was up until 0425 and it is now 0912 and I honestly cannot read any more documentation. I am getting desperate. I can not move forward with anything until I can get this to work.
I installed wp from bitnami
started the servers
hit the go-to application button
then in the URL :
serveraddress/wp-login.php
I got a login page and when I logged in with the username and password I used to open the bitnami account ( as per the guidance of my udemy instructor)
I received the following response:
“Unknown email address. Check again or try your username”
I then tried my wp.com username and login – same result
I downloaded local flywheel and tried that- same result
So it is an issue that persists across two different servers and none of the documentation I am reading actually addresses the issue. The good news is that with flywheel I can access the back end with one click and verify the user email is consistent.
This allows me access but does not solve the root problem of not being able to log in from the server.
I am so confused and frustrated, also I am very new to wp development so I am expecting that this is 100% operator error.
Can someone please provide some guidance?
