Trying to change the checked background colour of cf7 form

Hello – After working through the forums I came across this post and have implemented the code. However, it doesn’t have the required outcome and my checked checkbox background colour remains unchanged.

I’m new to wordpress and cp7 and would appreciate any guidance.
