compatibility issue not saving the page template option

Glitch or compatibility issue with Elementor and Classsic Editor not saving the page template option.

There seemed to be a glitch when saving the page template. Would not save on initial publish and would only save after selecting the page template again and publishing for the second time.
There is no script errors when publishing the above.

After trouble shooting, after disabling the plugin “Classsic Editor” only then did the issue go away. The classic editor is either conflicting with elementor? – and not saving the Page Attribute > Template drop down selection on the initial save.

Any help fixing this issue would be appreciated, thanks
