Reading your documentation and doing a fair amount of guessing, I have come to the following hypotheses:
– Revisions are essentially cloned posts (including post meta), the content of which is different from the posts they are clones of. They have their own post type.
– When a scheduled revision is publicised, the revision completely replaces the post of which it is a clone, and gets deleted.
Is this correct?
