Check this out: I have set the Bio field to both display as part of the UM form – AND in the header.
The same field shows up quite differently, depending on where it is. (See URL)
The top one shows up more or less normally, with most HTML encoding displaying properly. URLs are more or less ok.
The bottom one is an absolute disaster!
This is same field, with the same data from the same DB.
The top one has HTML turned on. The bottom one has it turned off.
When you flip the HTML switches, the top one (now off) turns into a block of text and loses all links and formatting.
When you turn HTML (now on) on the bottom one, it turns into a block of text and loses all formatting and most links.
This is clearly a very big bug in the current release, and one that needs attention. ASAP from my prespective, as I’d like to take my site live in the next week or so.
I can’t expect my users to learn HTML! Heck, it’s hard enough to get them to create usable images. The text display needs to be consistent and predictable, and use line breaks with HTML turned off.
UM is supposed to be Membership software IE USER FRIENDLY, not Developer only software!
Please fix this.
Thanks.
