Hello,
We use ACFE to create a user account form on the frontend. It works like a charm but with one exception: the success message does not appear at any time (I checked several times: no message is generated in the code after submission) and the activation of the debug mode did not give us any clue.
We then performed the usual tests: update wp-core, theme and plugins, deactivation of all plugins, return to the parent theme “twenty sixteen” blank, … without success. We also tested other themes, and by chance we finally activated the “twenty twenty-one” theme and, hooray, the success message appeared. So I think I can say that the success message does not appear with the following themes:
– Twenty sixteen
– Twenty seventeen
– Twenty nineteen
– Twenty twenty
Unless we have no other solution, we want to keep using the “twenty sixteen” theme: we will try to find out what are the theme function(s) that prevent the success message to be displayed, which is not easy… we will of course post the information if we find it.
Has anyone by any chance already faced this defect? It would save us a lot of time ^^
