unable to set product image

Hi,

I’d like to pick WOOC devs’ brains on what might cause failure setting a product’s featured image.

It doesn’t happen all the time. And when it occurs, product page will miss the featured image. Sometimes our staff have to refresh the product editor a few times in order to set its featured image for it.

We’ve been monitoring the error log for a couple of weeks and nothing suspecious ever showed up. Which makes it very hard for me to even start debugging.

So to WOOC experts, what might be the best places to look? Any code choke points we could put error_log() calls may be a good start.

I understand the usual drill would be to set up a staging site and hunt down possible plugin/theme conflicts. We’ve been doing that for a few weeks actually and it seems the issue is production only – we’re not 100% sure though since the amount of time we’ve invested may not be sufficient to tell.
