Force SSL 404 lockout

Hi, I made a mistake with the iThemes Security settings and stupidly set it to force SSL. Now when I try to access the site or WP-Admin I get a 404 Not Found page.

Can I fix this via ftp?

I have tried to edit the wp-config.php file, following some suggestions online, but I still get 404 Not Found.

Would removing the plugin from the site work?
