Ok, so I’ve searched this problem and found a ton of people with similar issues and lots of different fixes and nothing is working for me.
I installed wordpress and went with multisite. When I went to add sites it defaulted to subdirectory. I looked for a way to change that, and there wasn’t one. So I changed it in wp-config instead. That let me add subdomain sites but when I tried to access the individual site dashboards I could not. I got the 404 error. The only dashboard I can get to is the main install at angers.media and the network dashboard.
I have wildcard subdomains enabled and like I said, I’ve searched this topic and can’t seem to get any of the usual fixes to work. I’m getting 404 like it’s not pointing to the right place and I’m out of my depth in trying to determine which files to look at, or database entries to look at to make sure they’re pointing to the right place, or if something is up with the subdomains
