Okay guys and gals, I’m really stuck here.

A couple of weeks ago my hosted main domain had a couple of hiccups and my hosting service recovered by restoring the entire domain and subdomains with a backup from their server. My blog is http://www.scruffydog.org and is a subdomain off the main domain.

I just discovered that a visitor going to my site will see the main page as one normally would, with little previews of a number of posts. But when a post is clicked to view the entire post, this appears:

Not Found

The requested URL /musical-puns-2/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

When I am using the admin dashboard and click Posts > All Posts then click the title or the “Edit” link, the following gets displayed:

Failed to load content css: http://scruffydog.org/wp-content/tinymce-custom-style/editor-style.css

I’ve searched all my own backup files and cannot find the specified folder and file.

Before this domain failure, I had a daily backup of my WP blog but for the life of me, I can’t find where the backups are stored, either locally or on my hosted server. Then I discover that backing up requires a plugin and I can’t find a plugin that will do backups in my dashboard. Searching WP plugs reveals a ton of backup plugs and I have no idea which one i previously used.

In the end, if there doesn’t seem to be a solution to this, I can rebuild from scratch as all my posts are listed in my dashboard and I can retrieve their contents and go from there. It would just be a royal PITA so I’m hoping that someone here can guide me out of this.

Thank you for any help!

-Tod
