Got a slightly unusual request. I’m on the latest versions of both WP (5.8.x) and Easy TOC, as of October 3, 2021. This isn’t a bug so much as a problem I’m trying to solve as a dev.
I had to migrate a large amount of content into WordPress using the XML importer. most of this content needed the Easy TOC enabled on it. I’d set the plugin to recognize H2’s and to automatically populate.
But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get the TOC to appear unless I actually went into each content item and clicked “update.” (Or “publish,” etc.)
I’m sure I missed something obvious, but I’m wondering if there’s an easy way to trigger the TOC to populate programmatically after a big migration.
