Error currency not supported

Hi,
My eCommerce site is in Uruguay. Our local currency is the “Uruguayan peso” (UYU).
I am having an error at checkout when choosing the Paypal payment option. It says “currency not supported”.

If I change to USD, then checkout works fine.
But I need it to work with UYU because prices are displayed in our local currency.
