Been reading on the ever-present and ongoing issue of being unable to connect social media sites via jetpack back to your wp site because of a 500 error which has something to do with XMLRPC not being enabled on your wp site b/c it’s such a horrendous security hole.
New to WP and JP – so am wondering why (A) why has this multi-year issue never been addressed, (B) why does WP require XMLRPC for this feature and why hasn’t it changed to a newer, supported protocol and, (C) what WP plugins will work OOTB with social media, sharing posts (not selling)?
