This plugin has an option for category navigation (isotope jquery filter?).
The masonry option includes other layouts if you don’t want the masonry option.
It also has many great features such as show/hide all the parts of the post you might need. excerpt, date, responsive settings and more.
It also has the option to show the title on top of the featured image or below, tremendously helpful.
