I was doing a GTMetrix analysis on this page and I noticed that something on my website is calling an external JS file called follow.js, which is failing to load and slowing down my page. The report provides a link, https://x.instagramfollowbutton.com/follow.js, which means nothing to me and doesn’t go anywhere.
I have absolutely no idea what this is! I run one instagram plugin, Smash Balloon, and have contacted them. They say this is nothing to do with them. The header and footer on this page appears on all pages of my website, but this problem only relates to this one page, so I don’t think it’s in the header and footer.
I’ve checked my functions.php file and my htaccess file.
I guess what I’m asking is, how can I identify which part of my website is calling this JS file? I’m not great with Console but there must be a trick to narrow down the part of the page that is making this call, which should help me narrow down my search.
Any tips on how to do this?
TIA
