Widget error

Hi guys,

I am using the Neve theme. If I add the social media follow widget to my sidebar, the links are like this:
#facebook

But if I add it to my footer, the links are like this:
http://www.facebook.com/vintagedesignstorenl

The last link is what I want, but I want the icons to be placed floating in the sideboard. I have been struggling for hours and I can’t seem to fix it.
