I’m not new to computers nor my new to programming. I’ve been a programmer since 1981 yeah they prolific web developer as well. But I have never once used WordPress. Right now I am trying to build a newspaper for a small local community that pulls in RSS feeds. Everything that I look at basically shows me an empty screen. No instructions on how to start. One particular retailer of seems said there’s comes with instructions and support was available but when I asked a follow-up question they never bothered to reply. That sure doesn’t make me feel all warm and fuzzy about support after they got my money.
So the question is how do I start? Is there a book I should buy? Should I use something like Elementor? I understand the back end and the concept of building pages. Just like that competing application that begins with a J and the oom la shakalka.
Would somebody please point me in the right direction? I look at all these themes online that show screen of blocks filled and with news articles from various RSS feeds but no instructions on how to duplicate it. I have no clue where to start.
