Your merge fields were invalid. Error with field: Value must be one of: Yes plea

Hello,

I’ve seen a thread with this problem 3 years ago and the solution in that isn’t relevant to my error.

So I have a opt-in form that seems to be coming up with the following message when someone is already in our database, even though it’s set up to update existing subscribers:

Your merge fields were invalid.
Error with field: Value must be one of: Yes please, No thank you (not True)

It seems to be ok for completely new users but this is no good for us as we’ll have both coming though.
