As soon as I enable The Event Calendar plugin I get the following error:

I have switched back to the default 2016 theme, turned off all plugins except The Event Calendar and I still get the same message. I also noticed that if I go to the event page itself, in month view, if I click on “Next Month” it just spins and spins forever. Not sure if related or not.
