Remove Footer Credit and Add My Own

Hello Support,

I am using the VW Corporate lite theme and I am trying to remove the footer credit and add my own credit. I have downloaded the “Remove Footer Credit” plugin and I can’t seem to remove it and add my own.

Please tell me how to do this.
