Hide Levels from Signup Page

Two-part question:

1) Can we create hidden membership levels in PMP — levels that do not appear in our signup form?

2) Can we disable automatic emails (renewals etc.) from specific membership levels?

If this is possible through custom fields or another method we’d be happy to hear that.
