When I try to activate plugin, I get the following error
Fatal error: Call to a member function has_cap() on null in /wp-content/plugins/seriously-simple-podcasting/includes/class-ssp-settings.php on line 204
I was able to fix it by changing line in question to
if ( is_object( $role ) && ! $role->has_cap( $cap ) ) {
