Hi! Using Elementor, I created a slider of 3 images in my OceanWP theme on my front page. But I am trying to find out how to let a right sidebar in and not have my slider images “squashed”.. Probably my images are too big ? or it is a question a Full width vs Theme width? I tried different ways but I can’t find the right settings.
I got this response by Marko Stolibojković in the FB Group “WPBeginner Engage – WordPress Help for Non-Techies”: OceanWP Support here. First, kindly copy the template (if not already) to Theme Panel > My Library (your WP dashboard). Also, Ocean Extra plugin is required for this (free plugin, available in the WP repository). Make sure the template (via My Library) is using Elementor Canvas attribute. Once published, copy the template’s shortcode.
After that, open the page (homepage) in question in WordPress and scroll down to OceanWP Settings. Go to section Shortcodes, and cope the shortcode in the area where you want the template to appear. In your case, that would be After Header or even After Title. In this way, it will stay above your sidebar area.
Hope this helps. Best of luck with your website.
So I tried these steps and it created a copy of a part of my page. My Gallery w/Regions was doubled. It seems to be a conflict that part of my page was build on Elementor and the other I have to go through the Theme Builder.. so something is not being recognized and prevents me from saving a template completely “Elementor”? I have this message too that I should have “post content” widget on my page to be truly a Elementor page?? But when I tried to add it, it was worse.. so I removed it. I understand that I might have to add it but I didn’t truly want the posts on my front page.
