Hello,
I am gearing up to migrate my URL and content to a new hosting plan, both run through WordPress. A colleague had helped me set up the site initially and was helping me out by letting me use one of the slots on his hosting plan, but I finally purchased my own plan.
One problem is that I am trying to change the email of the admin account on WordPress from his to mine, but it will not send me the confirmation email that it says I will need to click to finish this process. At first I thought maybe trash or Gmail filters were eating it, so I checked trash and then tried my university email, but it didn’t show up either place.
Is this somehow tied to the site still being on his hosting account for the moment? Is his email inextricably linked until I change it to my new hosting account? Mind you, it’s not saying that HE will need to confirm that it’s OL, but rather that the new email (mine) will. And yet, it is not sending me the email. I’ve tried 3 different email addresses by now.
Any help greatly appreciated!
