Hello,
I’m planning to migrate my current wordpress (4.9) and woocommerce (3.2) to their latest version. As part of the upgrade, I’m planning to create an staging environment by cloning the current live site, upgrade the WP core and Woocommerce as well as other plugins and themes. Then, once everything is complete take a final back up of the DB from the live site and import it to the newly upgraded staging to capture for all changes in the DB during the time upgrade is performed.
However, the DB I’ll get from the live site is based on wordpress 4.9 and woocommerce 3.2, but it will be imported to the latest version of wordpress/woocommerce. My question is whether I’ll run into any compatibility issue as e.g., the DB schema might be different for these two versions. I appreciate any help.
