Child style.css file not overriding parent

Hi,

I have tried making a child theme, but the CSS file doesn’t seem to be working properly. Parts of it does, for example, the header colour and font, but not all. The menu is still red.

I tested the CSS code in “additional css” in the customiser. There is nothing wrong with the code as it works in the customiser.

However, no matter how I try and enqueue the css file (and even tried putting it in the header) some parts of the css only works if in the additional css rather than in the file.

The child’s template is twentytwenty
