Why use store’s base location to show/hide accepted credit cards?

I just discovered the following “fix” from v 3.1.6:
Fix – Use store’s base location to show/hide accepted credit cards instead of currency.

Why did you do that? It makes no sense.

I am based in Sweden so I use Sweden as Base location for obvious reasons. However, this fix assumes that i use SEK as checkout currency, but I don’t. I sell in USD but setting Base location to Sweden makes the cards JCB, Discover, and Diners Club cards being hidden. That means customers might think I don’t accept those cards which means lost sales.

The accepted cards should be displayed depending on the base currency, not the base location. Location has nothing to do with what cards works for paying.

Alternatively you should at least add the choice in the plugin settings; Display cards based on base location or base currency.
