No changes were made to the site/database/plugin. The settings clearly show that the Author role still has permission granted to Edit Pages and Publish pages. The same Users are still assigned this Author role.
I am the only admin and have not made any changes in weeks. Yet the Author role lost ability to Create/Edit pages anyway somehow.
