In the checkout form, the dropdown field “country” is marked as mandatory but in fact customers are able to simply select the “select your country” option on top of that dropdown list and send their order without receiving any error messages.
Note: I sell virtual products for download.
Problem 1: How is this possible? Why is country a mandatory field and yet does not require customers to actually select a country? I keep getting orders with country listed ad “default”… Which is quite a catastrophe because I need to calculate taxes based on the customers country.
Problem 2: Why does my shop even show this “select your country” option when I see other shops that don’t have it and simply show the predefined standard country and then several other country options?
I use Flatsome, WP 5.5.1 and WOO 4.4.1.
Also I use Germanized plugin but the problem as described above still occurs when I deactived Germanized and also when I select storefront as a theme.
